My Story
Ever since I was married and started a family, my husband and children's skin were dry. My children's faces were also oily and occasionally break outs would occur. After researching soaps, I found that most soaps in the supermarket were detergents and not very good for your skin. Also, some of the so-called natural and organic soaps could just be a rebatching or hand milled of bulk soap - melt and pour with a pretty label, mass produced. Where is the love in that?
I decided to open up my chemistry book and make soap the old fashioned way, using lye, wonderful vegetable oils, butters, botanicals and essential oils. Did I stop there? Oh no! I started making all our skin care products - lotions, creams, lip balms, shaving cream, etc...etc...etc... Since we have dogs - I could not ignore them, so I made them a moisturizing shampoo with neem oil that is great for the scalp and coat.
I spoiled my family. Their skin is so touchable now. Shaving is not a dreaded experience anymore. But most of all I am happy knowing that my family is not building up toxins in their bodies because my products are not harmful to them or the environment.
