Why Sweet V?
•My natural soaps do not contain harsh chemical additives like commercial soap bars which may include animal fats, alcohols, esters (known carcinogens), low grade oils, wax and fillers. In fact, many of the commercially available soaps today are detergents and not true soaps.
•Sweet V Soaps are made with coconut, palm, olive, avocado, meadowfoam,
neem and canola oils, as well as shea butter, illipe butter, herbs, and essential
oils. They are handcrafted from start to finish unlike melt & pour and french
milled soap..
•My soap is made from vegetable oils (an acid) mixed with water and alkali (a
base-lye). Acids and bases neutralize each other to form a salt, in this case
soap, with glycerine as a by-product. Glycerine prevents skin dryness and
irritation with its moisturizing properties. Oils that did not combine with the
alkali are free which creates a superfatted soap. The extra oil creates a soap
that has additional moisturizing benefits and skin-protecting properties that
can be used to treat eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, inflammation, and more. My
soap cleans but does not strip your skin of its natural oils, which means my
handcrafted soap is extraordinarily mild and moisturizing for dry and sensitive
skin. It has a hand-lotion-in-the-soap effect.
•Many people find that the herbs and essential oils that are added to Sweet V
Soaps gives these soaps greater healing properties. Essential oils are
concentrated volatile aromatic compounds produced by plants. They fight
infection, contain hormone-like compounds, initiate cellular regeneration, and
work as a chemical defense against fungal, viral and animal foes. Essential oils
have a similar structure to some compounds found in blood and tissues,
allowing them to be compatible with our own body system.
•Due to the greater moisturizing content, Sweet V Soaps need to dry thoroughly
after use. Place your natural soap on a soap dish that has drainage holes.
Always store new bars of Sweet V in a cool dry place to prevent them from
softening. My soaps need to be used within a year.
